This tea comes from a garden located at 1200 masl in the Champassak region of Northern Laos, very close to the Chinese border.  While many styles of tea can be produced by his century old trees the producer, Mr. Lnthavong, typically creates Puerh (fermented tea) rather than black teas.  Mr Lnthavong has been producing tea since he was little, learning much of his agricultural knowledge from his grand-father, and processing techniques from his father. When asked what inspires him most about tea, he shared that he takes inspiration from the fact that “tea is really nothing special but at the same time very special indeed
